NEW PATIENT CONSULTATIONS
Complimentary Consultation
This appointment is an opportunity for you to meet Dr. Barrett and have her answer any questions you may have about utilizing a Naturopathic Doctor as the primary care physician for your child, or to see how she can help you determine your next steps in working with a variety of health concerns.
New Patient Appointment - Comprehensive
This initial appointment focuses on gathering information regarding the health history of the patient. With children, we start with the Mom's pregnancy and work to where they are today. Since Naturopathic Medicine works to find the cause of whatever concerns the patient may be having, and determine a course of action to rememdy that, these initial appointments can be anywhere from 1 1/2 hr for children to 2 1/2 hrs for adults.

Keeping Yourself Healthy - Wellness Consultation
The name of the game is prevention! A wellness consultation is for people who are well and wish to optimize their wellness. During these consultations Dr. Barrett will review how you habitually nourish yourself (diet), any supplements that you are taking, and review any recent labs to ensure you are doing what is necessary to be living with vitality. This appointment is not intented to address any specific health concern or disease. A welllness consult usually takes about an hour and any follow up appointments would be scheduled as needed or recommended by Dr. Barrett.

Under The Weather - Acute Consultation
These are designed to help you recover quickly from an acute illness - cold, flu, poison ivy, bug bite, etc. For chronic health concerns refer to the regular new patient appointment. During this visit, Dr. TBarrett will focus on your acute illness and create a customized plan to quickly remedy your health. This may often include a homeopathic remedy, botanical (herbal) medicine, nutrtional supplements or hydrotherapy recommendations. Your appointment includes any phone follow up consults for one week. Any additional follow up or appointments as determined by Dr. Barrett will be at additional investment.

Newborn Consultations
Congratulations on your new bundle of joy! For our newborns, Dr. Barrett will do an initial visit with the infant at their home usually on or about Day 2. She will do a complete exam of the baby and help answer any questions the new parents might be having now that the baby has arrived. She will also return to the house for the 2 week weight check and follow up to see how things are going with baby and parents.

FOLLOW UP CONSULTATIONS
Infant and Child Wellness Exams - under 10 yrs old.
These appointments are your standard well child exams and are done at 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24 months, and yearly after that. Dr. Barrett will not only do physical exam and track your childs height and weight, but will also be recommending any nutritional supplementation needed to keep your child growing strong and healthy.

Follow Up Visits
These are regularly scheduled visits designed to track the patients progress with a treatment protocol. However, some appointments may be more complex if the treatment plan needs to be modified for any reason, or there are new issues to address or if the patient hasn't been seen for an extended period of time. The majority of these visits are billed at the standard follow up rate and are generally about 20-30 mins in length. The brief visit is typically for a quick on a health issue like a blood pressure check, or follow up on weight loss, etc) and are not a regular follow up visit. The longer extended visits are either billed at the extended or comprehensive rate as determined by Dr. Barrett and may not always be known until during your actual appointment.

These packages are designed as a great way to invest in your health and save some money doing it. All packages are for the office visits only and do no include any recommended supplements, labs, or services beyond that. Please ask about our payment plans as well.
Family Optimal Wellness Plan
This package includes new patient appointments and a year of monthly follow up visits for 2 adults and 2 children. This is a great investment into the health of your family.

Newborn First Year
This packakage includes the first two visits done at the home, 2 day and 2 week, as well as their 5 regularly schedule well checks and 3 additional visits to be used during their first year. What a great gift idea for new parents!

This package inlcudes the new patient visit as well as 11 follow up visits for 1 year.

This package includes a new patient visit as well as 11 follow up visits for 1 year.

Prepaid Year of follow of Visits
This package is designed for current patients and includes 12 follow up visits for 1 year. These can be shared among family members that are already established patients.

Scheduling
To schedule an appointment, please call 480-229-5676. Office visits are by appointment only. We make every attempt to be on time. Your cooperation by showing up on time for your appointment will help us and is greatly appreciated.
Cancellation Policy
We do have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Late cancellations will be billed at the following rates: $100 for a new patient and $50 for a follow up visit. Missed appointments will be billed in full. We understand that emergencies occur and are willing to make exceptions for true emergencies.
Additional Information:
Insurance
A few insuance companies may cover naturopathic care here in Arizona. We do not file insurance and do not deal directly with insurance companies, however we are happy to provide you with a superbill for you to submit for any reimbursement. We would encourage you to contact your insurance company regarding reimbursement of services. Payment is required for all services at the time of your visit.
Health Saving Accounts (HSA's) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA's)
These are special savings accounts that can often be used to cover our services and specific nutritional supplements. Please check with your plan administrator regarding your coverage. We will be happy to provide you with the necessary documentation to assist with your use of these plans. Payment is expected at time of service and you may be able to file for reimbursement, but check with your plan administrator.
Testing
We are able to request a wide range of laboratory testing and specialized testing that can assist Dr. Barrett in determining what the most appropriate course of action would be. However not all patients will be recommeded to get testing. There are additional costs associated with laboratory tests. Depending on your health insurance, it may be possible to be reimbursed for these costs. Please check with your insurance carrier.
Supplements
Nutritional supplements are often an important part of your health and healing. We carry and have access to some of the highest quality nutritonal supplements available. Know that Dr. Barrett has taken a significant amount of time to research and find the best products for your specific health concern. Out of convenience and assurance of quality, you may choose to purchase your nutritional supplements from us, but you are not required to.
